The MJ820 and MJ821 interpolators are compatible with Sony linear scales SH12, SH52 and SL700/PL101 or any encoder with 1Vp-p output with an impedance of 120 ohms. The serial interface output is a dedicated protocol for Mitsubishi MR-J2 Super Series amplifier.   The units include a facility for automatic compensation of the DC offset, gain and phase difference properties of the input signal. This improves interpolation accuracy particularly important in ensuring smooth and accurate drive performance of the control system. Input and output connectors are supplied as standard.
