The Sony Laserscale BL55 series utilises a new optical integrated circuit enabling Laserscale high accuracy performance with compact mounting size and reduced cost. The small signal pitch of 0.4µm, produced from the 1.6µm grating pitch, reduces interpolation errors to almost zero. The NE series has the smallest footprint of the Laserscale encoders. The scale grating material is Neoceram, a low expansion coefficient glass.
