- This optical readhead has been designed with the following criteria;
low profile, low power consumption and high resolution. Requiring a
5volt supply, this compact encoder produces a quadrature (RS422) output
and 1µm resolution. Its unique design allows easy setup with good tolerance
to setup errors and selectable count direction. The only electronic
adjustment is for dc balancing using two potentiometers. Test points
for set up are made accessible via a plug adaptor. Suitable OEM clean
environment applications are CMM's, height gauges, translation and inspection
stages.
